Natural materials are part of the space itself—wood, clay finishes and straw-panel construction create an environment that feels tactile rather than polished.
MATERIALS LIVE HERE
Materials, tests and things worth keeping
Clay samples, plants, pigments, stones, fibres, firing tests and books gradually accumulate here. The studio is part workshop, part material library and part place of research.
THE STUDIO EXTENDS OUTSIDE
The Landscape
Nature is not a backdrop here.
The forest, seasons and changing light are part of how the studio is used and how work develops.
A PLACE FOR SHARED PRACTICE
Making together
Crafty Place also becomes a temporary shared studio. Small groups gather here for workshops, longer material practices and occasional collaborations.
The scale stays intimate: enough room to work together, talk, eat and follow a process without turning the experience into a large event.
